Xiaomi Technology’s board approved setting up a subsidiary for smart EV business, after 75 days of deep communication within the company and with industry experts. The group’s Chairman & CEO Lei Jun will serve as the CEO of the EV business. Although EV is becoming an increasingly “red ocean” with fierce competition and high risks, the founder’s courage to challenge new heights is worth celebrating.
